Your notes stay in your browser
Quick Notepad Online has no accounts. Note titles, note text, and display preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not sent to our servers.
Files and exports
Files you open are read in your browser. TXT, Markdown, PDF, print, backup, and restore actions are handled on your device. The site does not retain a copy of those files.
Retention and deletion
Notes remain in that browser until you delete them or clear the site’s browser data. Private browsing may remove them when the private session ends. Because the site does not receive your notes, we cannot recover them. Download a backup before clearing data or changing devices.
Website analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand general visits, such as which pages are viewed and roughly how visitors arrive. Analytics does not read what you type in the notepad or the converter. Google’s handling of this data is described in Google’s own privacy policy, and you can limit it with your browser’s privacy settings or an ad blocker.
How to delete your notes
To remove a single note, open it and use the delete control in the notes list. To remove everything, clear this site’s data in your browser settings (often under “Cookies and site data”). Both actions are permanent unless you have a backup file.
